The new Supra will get BMW’s 4-cyl

Holiday Auto claims that the new Toyota Supra will fature a hybrid system that combines a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cyl engine (from BMW) and 3 electric motors. Just like the Acura NSX, Supra will have an electric engine per front wheel and one more, the third, integrated with the engine and transmission.
It seems like this collaboration is a win:win for both companies. Toyota will develop a new sports car platform for the new Supra, while BMW will also get the technology for their new Z4 (where some say it will be rebadged to a Z5 to highlight the higher positioning in the BMW’s lineup.
