2009 Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG Hamann Typhoon

The Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG was previously tuned by Hamann with a package that includes an imposing aero kit and 2 different upgrades for its performance. Now that model has been modified even further by another tuner- Specialty Car Craft resulting the 2009 Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG Hamann Typhoon.

It is custom built for 3-time World Martial Arts Champion, Anton Kasabov. There haven’t been many details on this variant by Specialty Car Craft, but Hamann modifications included the option to choose from 2 performance upgrades which were a 35HP upgrade and a HM 600 kit that equipped the engine (5.4 liters) with a blower to put out 600HP and 576 lb-ft of torque. This allowed the SUV to accelerate up to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds and possess a top speed of 162 mph.

The kit also includes an optimized air flow, new rear skirt with an integrated diffuser, roof spoiler, and 2 daytime running LED lights built into the front spoiler. Carbon fiber exterior set was also included. The exterior is black with some red finishes on the hood, grill and tires.

The bad news is that even if you decide that you want one for yourself, the 2009 Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG Hamann Typhoon by Specialty Car Craft was built as a one-time project just for Anton Kasabov.
