Maybach Exelero. Sold.

There are reports that the rapper known as Birdman (born Bryan Williams), has bought a Maybach Exelero coupe for a whopping $8,000,000. The coupe was built back in 2005 as a one-time project by tire makers Fulda, making the vehicle a test unit for their next generation tires. It was once featured on a Jay-Z music video.

On his Twitter account, Birdman tweeted: “They got this new Maybach that I want that costs $8 million, I gotta have it.”  The rapper then went on and posted a picture of the car and confirmed that he indeed bought it.

Birdman, owner of the Cash Money Records company, is said to be worth at around $100,000,000 and has some other cars that are part of his collection. This includes a Maybach Landaulet and a red Bugatti Veyron, both worth at around $1.5 million and $2 million respectively, and both looking like bargains in comparison to the Maybach Exelero.

With the Exelero, Birdman has a beast packed with a V12 engine with twin turbochargers, and is capable of delivering 700HP and 753lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 218mph.

This Maybach Exelero was originally put on sale back in 2008.
