2014 Honda NSX

The Acura NSX was first launched in 1991, stunning the world it can stand toe-to-toe with models such as the Ferrari 328. Unfortunately, production lasted only until 2005 – the sales were too low. There were rumours that new model will come in 2009, but due to economic crisis, this was not possible. The next NSX will come out as the 2014 Honda NSX.

It was first rumored that the future NSX would be packed with a V10 engine, but Acura recently patented a V6 engine which outputs 400HP. The future Acura would be getting a supercharged version of this 3.5-liter V6 engine, which can deliver around 450HP. Expect the engine to give the NSX the ability to accelerate to 60mph in just 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 200mph.

For its design, it is way too early to speculate and there is a high probability that the engineers do not even have a final design for it since the release is about 3 to 4 years away. While the old Acura targeted models such as the Ferrari 328, the NSX successor would likely be pitted against cars such as the Lexus LF-A and the Nissan GT-R, which would be likely offered in hybrid variants by the time the NSX arrives.

According to Takanobu Ito, Honda President, the company is working very diligently on the future model and there are chances it will be offered as a hybrid car. The 2014 Honda NSX will be available in 2014 with a price of $150,000.
